a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (MFA) where I studied Textiles and graduate of California State University of Los Angeles (BA) and Los Angeles Trade Technical College (AA) where I studied apparel design.
I studied design at Kyoto Seika University, Indigo Cultivation in Tokushima and foundational Kasuri Weaving at Kawashima Textile School.
My apparel is hand patterned and self constructed. Select garments are made with my original handwoven textiles.
Motivated by strict hands on technical craftsmanship and the relationship between making and my body.
With curiosity, I contribute to dialogs inspired by East Los Angeles.
My apparel and textile work is derived with intentions that weave in poetic dialogues.
I am a craftsperson, not an artist.
