Play THE Game | 2024

Fascinated with the thought of a bleeding textile, the piece, “Play THE Game”, is constructed from a handwoven linen double block weave structure woven on an 8 - harness floor loom. I created dye packets by inserting woven interfacing with red acid dye powder. As I wove my textile on the loom, I sandwiched the dye packets into the linear exchange of both layers creating pockets in the cloth.
