Fireworks | 2023

Constructed from two hundred and forty six hand cut cotton pieces, this textile work features one hundred and twenty three “Bullet Hole” motifs which are then outlined with hand applied Kakishibu dye. The title of this piece was born from a memory of a classmate mistaking gunshots from a drive by to fireworks.
