Developing a Garment
These are the phases of product development I honor.
Fabrication
For me, fabrication and materiality is where the beginning of my intentional design begins. I investigate and hand select various fibers and textile materials that will allow me to develop a successful garment. Some garments I weave the cloth myself with a floor loom to utilize the best qualities for my apparel.

Utilizing PointCarre software, I am also able to design and weave custom textiles on a Jacquard loom for my apparel. For my Fingerprint Jacket, I scanned my fingerprint and produced a repeated pattern which I then developed a twill fabric on a jacquard loom with my finger print woven into the textile. (As seen below).

Pattern Drafting
I hand draft my apparel patterns on paper allowing me to make immediate edits while sample-making my designs. I am also able to hand grade my paper patterns and have had experience utilizing Tukaweb to grade patterns for mass production.

Construct
Finally I construct my apparel utilizing various machinery including:
Industrial Single Needle
Overlock / serger
Coverstitch Machine
Marrow Machine
Multineedle Machine
Industrial Buttonhole Machine
